Update: Canucks' Alex Edler out indefinately

The Vancouver Province is reporting that the Canucks have updated the injury status of defenseman Alexander Edler on Friday, stating that he is out indefinately:

We got a little [update] this morning but it’s the same, he is still being evaluated - he is out indefinitely, but still being evaluated by our guys today again. - assistant coach Glen Gulutzan

As reported here on Wednesday, Edler suffered a lower-body injury against the Nashville Predators and was to be considered day-to-day.  Edler has drawn the ire of coach John Tortorella for his lack of aggression since returning from on October suspension...

...which came to a boil on Saturday night when Tortorella had a very public melt down on the bench, raging at Edler when he returned from a penalty kill shift in which the New York Rangers scored their second power play goal of the game.

The report from the Province suggests that Edler's UBI is some sort of mild knee injury.
