Blue Jackets' Gaborik returns to action; breaks collarbone

The Columbus Blue Jackets welcomed back right winger Marian Gaborik to the lineup after missing 18 games with a bum knee - but the comeback lasted less than a period.

Philadelphia Flyers Braydon Coburn and Zac Rinaldo put Gaborik back on the shelf, breaking his collarbone when they sandwiched him in front of the Flyers goal as he attempted to put a shot on goal in the Jackets' 6-3 win on Saturday night.

The team announced that the speedy Gaborik, who earned an assist on the play in which he was injured and has five goals and seven helpers on the season will be out indefinitely.

Not only is this a big loss for the Blue Jackets, but it will also hurt Slovakia in the Olympics.

The situation will be updated when more information becomes available.
