There comes a point in every hockey season that defines a team, and for the Boston Bruins it seems to be always centered around the Montreal Canadiens.

Which goes to figure, since the Canadiens are the Bruins oldest and most hated rival - so last season when the Bruins blew a two goal lead to Montreal in early March, it sent them spiraling into a funk that saw them sleepwalk through most of the rest of the season, awakening only after the Toronto Maple Leafs poked the bear in their Eastern Conference quarterfinals playoff series...

...the Leafs having Boston on the ropes with a three goal lead in the third period of game 7 before the Bruins came roaring back, tying the game with just seconds remaining in regulation, then winning the series in overtime - a win that propelled them right through the weak offerings of the New York Rangers and the Pittsburgh Penguins on their way to the Stanley Cup Finals.

But apparently, the Bruins' going into hibernation after being flogged by the Habs is a thing of the past.

Since losing to Montreal on Thursday night, the Bruins have staged a last second come-from-behind victory over the conference leading Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday night and then brutalized the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday night - the 5-2 victory the result of a motivated but shorthanded Bruins squad steamrolling the 'Leafs
