Blues' Chris Stewart takes puck to the face

There has been no word from the St. Louis Blues after their star right winger Chris Stewart was forced to leave the team's match against the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night after taking a puck to the face.
The incident occured in the first period of the Blues' 2-1 win at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, Stewart escorted from the ice directly into the training room by team trainers and did not return.

The 26 -year-old's status should be more clear on Thursday, the next time the Blues take the ice at the start of a brief two-game homestand against the Los Angeles Kings and then again on Saturday hosting the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Stewart, who was named the NHL's First Star of the Week for the week ending December 22nd, has notched 13 goals and nine helpers in 39 games and sports an impressive plus-11 while skating an average of 13:45 per game.
